Hey. I’m Ryan Laverty. As a kid, I grew up addicted to making stuff. I was constantly in a state of building, inventing, thinking and creating - all the dang time. I had a natural zest for entrepreneurship, business, saving and investing. I was that kid shoveling snow, caddying, washing cars, raking leaves- you name it; always trying to make a buck. Hell, before I went to college, I invented & patented a beer shotgunning keychain. I figured, what better way to make money at college then sell a drinking tool. And boy did they sell. Paid for a chunk of my college too.

I studied Marketing and Finance at Penn State University. After graduating, I went into a stuffy Wall Street job, got bored, and quit in 2018 to start VIDE. I scaled that beverage business across the country into over 3,500 retailers - selling in Costco, Whole Foods and many other notable shelves. During this consumer-obsessed run, I also invested in Xeal Energy, participating in their pre-seed round in 2019. The company went on to raise $40MM in a Series B round in November of 2022. Since then, I’ve been advising, operating and scaling consumer businesses.

So, where does this leave me? I love the experience I’m getting building and scaling consumer businesses. If I can help other companies incept, grow and scale responsibly, that’s a win for me. Thanks for stopping by!
